The BIG Cider Shindig

Saturday night we threw open the orchard gates for the very first of our Autumn Occasions – Live at Hitchcox events. And let’s just say… we came, we poured, we stomped. The Big Cider Shindig had everything: a glowing orchard, roaring firepits, drinks flowing faster than gossip in the village shop, and tunes loud enough to shake the apples off the trees (if they hadn’t already been pressed).

First things first, a massive thank you to everyone who came along. You made the orchard sparkle brighter than the fairy lights. The weather held out (a small miracle in itself), the firepits kept things cosy, and the bar was buzzing with everything from local brews to fancy drinks with ice and a slice.

The brilliant Mummfuden Sons delivered foot-stomping tunes that had the tipi canvas shaking and the grass underfoot worn thin from dancing. It felt like the orchard itself was moving along with the beat.

It was the perfect start to our autumn line-up — but it’s just the beginning.
