Our Hitchcox Bonfire Beats event really brought the orchard to life. Flames leapt high, fiddles kicked up the night, and the tipi brimmed with laughter, music and the scent of woodsmoke and cider.
We skipped the fireworks and kept things real – firelight, good tunes and proper pints under the stars. The bonfire crackled and The House Devils brought their blend of Celtic folk, bluegrass and rolling rhythm that had everyone moving before they knew it.
Effin Grace kept spirits high with comfort food fit for a November night – hearty, generous and made to warm the hands as much as the heart.
Every tune seemed to stoke the flames, and the crowd rose with it. There was dancing in the straw, cider in hand, and that kind of unspoken togetherness that only happens when music, fire and friendship collide.
The bar poured a steady stream of orchard cider, local ales and spiced warmers that suited the mood perfectly. No flash, no fuss, just the glow of good people, good food and the fire holding court in the orchard.
Bonfire Beats reminded us exactly why we love this place. Flames, fiddles and full hearts. Until next time.
